Mixed media assemblage featuring a skeletal human figure embedded with computer parts and industrial elements, critiquing internet addiction and hidden behaviors.

Your Internet Addiction Makes You Ugly – Barry™

Assemblage, 5’H x 3’W

In Your Internet Addiction Makes You Ugly, Barry fuses decaying industrial elements, skeletal human forms, and obsolete technology into a brutal meditation on hidden behavior and digital distortion.
The work is both deeply personal and fiercely societal — a warning, a confession, and a mirror.

About Your Internet Addiction Makes You Ugly

Constructed from layered circuitry, battered industrial relics, hand-sculpted forms, and ominous painted anatomy,
Your Internet Addiction Makes You Ugly is a confrontation few viewers will want, but none can ignore.

  • The skeletal figure is not mocked — it is exposed:
a tattered soul with an IV drip of self-induced decay.

  • Keyboard fragments, battered circuitry, and painted bloodlines anchor the figure in a technological purgatory, where identity blurs and consequences seem suspended.

  • The title stabs directly at the real ugliness: not physical appearance, but the moral erosion that happens when anonymity, rage, lust, and despair merge unchecked online.

  • This is not a work of superiority.
It is an act of self-recognition.
Barry channels the worst possible tendencies — not to revel in them, but to exorcise them before they ever materialize.

  • It asks the viewer:

What are you capable of, when no one sees you?

Your Internet Addiction Makes You Ugly is less an accusation,
and more a lighthouse:
a harsh beam turned inward, warning ships away from the rocks.
