Contemporary Fine Art at the Intersection of Image and Culture
Barry™ creates paintings, assemblages, and fine art prints that draw from pop culture, art history, and everyday imagery. The work spans several ongoing series, including Serenity, NuCubism, NuHeroes, Assemblages, and newer pop-surrealist pieces. Familiar images are reused and reworked to shift meaning, often revealing tension, irony, or unexpected humor.
Some works are quiet and observational. Others are more fragmented or confrontational. What connects them is an interest in how images shape understanding—and how that understanding changes when images are taken out of their original context and placed side by side.

They were built to save the world, but what happens when the world they must face is just as unrelenting, absurd, and indifferent as our own?
In SuperStuck, Barry™ strips away the grandiosity of comic book mythology, placing its most powerful figures into the kind of moments that no superhuman ability can prevent: miscommunication, exhaustion, consequence, and the realization that even the strongest among us can still be undone by fate, folly, or each other.
We expect superheroes to battle forces of chaos, to stand unwavering against disaster. But what if the disaster is already behind them, a smoldering wreck of miscalculation and misplaced confidence? What if, despite their best efforts, they are left only with the burden of knowing they should have seen it coming?
With humor and tragedy in equal measure, this series challenges the illusion of invincibility. It reminds us that even those who can fly, bend steel, and defy time itself are still at the mercy of the small, unglamorous failures that make us human.
The world won’t always give us a villain to fight. Sometimes, it just gives us consequences.
